been running veg oil for about 2 months now. Straight from tesco, doing about 2 thirds veg oil and the rest diesel. This week the filter clogged up, to the point when it would empty faster than it could fill and the engine cut out. New filter is in, but to avoid this again i wanna thin the oil out a bit more. Chucked a couple litres petrol in today but is there a better way of thinning the oil?
Also wanted to ask if anyone else had this problem, and could it be summat to do with the halfrauds filter that i had - do they have a bad reputation?
cheers

If this is the furst time ye've used the SVO then just keep an eye on yer filter as it pulls all the crap from yer tank and fuel lines. It might clear by the second or thurd filter change and ye should be ok after that;)

ye it is the first time. so you sayin that svo cleans the tank as it were and shoves all the rubbish into the filter?

Busters right on the money. Took me about three filter changes and now it's 'normal' again, still running on veg/diesel mix change filters now on a normal service interval.

Aye petty much;)
Ah think ideally ye should check yer filter after a couple of hundred miles or so and then change it.
