Hi chaps

I am new to this forum, so please be gentle :5bhurray:

Just got a P38 HSE and has a couple of issues

One is the climate control, if its on high the heat comes through lovely, but as soon as you go down the scale to 28* and so on it goes cold, with no in between?

Would this mean a complete replacement panel or is there something else controlling it?

Cheers
Dave

Thanks Sarstad

No book on the screen??

Looks like it could be possible, A lot cheaper than the panel

There's a cabin temperature sensor behind the little grill by the radio. Make sure it's not blocked up with years of fluff etc. Worth a try, costs nothing.

sounds like the temp core sensor, mine did the exact same as soon as i changed from either low or hi it would go the complete opposite that i wanted it to.

When the drivers side is changed from high to anything below it goes cold.

If you leave drivers side on high and change passenger side it does seem to work, so just seems like the temp control on the driver side is faulty

Get an airline and blast through the small grille (About 20mm dia.) directly below the clock. If you hold a cgarette lighter in front of the grille, you will hear the fan speed change and the air from the vents get colder if it's working. Detaails of test on the system here Range Rovers

if you dont know what your looking at and you have the book symbol up on the screen then i would say have it plugged in some diagnostics and then you can have the error codes printed out and you know exactly whats wrong.
