Hi

I wounder if anyone has any suggestions about a problem with my 110 Defender. Basically, when you turn the steering wheel to full lock or there abouts this loud clicking noise starts from somewhere around the front wheels. Ive checked things like bushes, track rod ends, suspension but they seem ok.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Chris

Hi
Ok thanks for that. Yes it is when the vehicle is moving that it makes the clicking. How hard is it to change the CV joints? Do I need anything else i.e. gaskets etc and also should I do the 2 while im at it?
Thanks
Chris

don't bother till they're really bad, or you've got to get in there to do sommat else. they'll go on fer ages like that without causing a problem.

Aye wot Trewey sed. Mine were cracking like kinell an when I replaced em there want owt visibly wrong with em. Their easy enough to do I replaced my swivels an all the seals at the same time.

Mek sure the axle oil is topped up - this will make them last for years like they are currently. They aint too hard to replace, but you need a full seal kit and it can be a messy pain in the arse.
