What's the best chemical to clean up my inlet manifold, it's sorted up to quite an impressive level, I uses to use hyper clean on my Subaru but i have very little dealings with diesels.....

Regards,
Nick

Use diesel, nitro or similar marmite eating chemical. Maybe sit it in a bucket of heating oil for a couple hours. Don't use carbolic acid or beer-line cleaner; it will eat through ally, and yur mani will bubble and fizz into a gloopy mess.

If you wanna go totally overboard, you could use an ultrasonic bath and some isopropyl alcohol.

Alm.

Not saying it's a good idea, but I took mine off a filled it with petrol and burnt it all out. I may have also blown some compressed air through it just for fun:flame:

i think white spirits/ turps is ok on alu.

be careful of cleaners though, some will destroy the alu.

WHAAAAAAAT?!! Feck me

I bought 5L of Brake cleaner fluid from a factors for about £9 and just sloshed it around a few times then closed it up with nitrile gloves over the openings for half an hour or so. Same with the intercooler and its all good.

3-4 months later and it oily inside again, so might just do it once a year or something...
