Can you? How?

Years ago had some Gti injectors cleaned by ultrasonic worked a treat gave back some of the old power, can this be done on Tdi injectors??
Or is there some snake oil that will do the job?

Close on 100000 miles, plus i have been play with fuel mix!
I know with the Gti when cleaned it returned the spray pattern you get not just the drip from the injector, so asumming the same with this.

I've heard on the grapevine that running some white spirit in the fuel through them can disolve any crud but I'm not sure what effect this has on other parts of the fuel system such as pumps and seals.
I would not do it myself and I've never seen anybody do it for real.
Why not get them professionaly overhauled? At least then you'd know that they are not the problem if it persists.

Somewhere will refurb them, they send you some up, then take yours and overhuld them for the next person - google it - it wasn't expensive.

I've run white spirit through my engine quite a few times, mainly as a thinner for old engine oils (as a combined homebrew fuel) and it made a notable difference to power and economy. Then again, I've got an N/A and it might have been the lack of wind that made all the difference

im fairly sure if you read pos's post properly, and take some time to think about it, you would find that the answer to your question is pretty obvious.

veg oil, i have run it through many different tired diesel engines and ALWAYS see a significant step-up in performance. It dissolves the diesel residue that alters the injector spray pattern. no good for common rail engines though.
Chuck in half a tank of veg to half a tank of diesel, any more veg oil and you will need to thin it out with petrol or kerosine.
Regular use may perish rubber in the fuel line, if you have any, other than that no downside I am aware of. Used to be a cost saver, but big bro has cottoned on and veg oil is now as expensive as diesel. EXHAUST WILL SMELL LIKE DUNKIN' DONUTS FOR A BIT !!!

Try [United diesel] a shop dealing on exchange bassis for diesel injcectors.I had mine sent down from them for my 200tdi good prompt service to. The are on the web.
