Nope for one for a non common rail it's pretty basic. It's just a bottle jack and a pressure gauge really. It's only to test pop pressures and visibly check the spray pattern.

not sure you should strip them. i know you'll keep all the bits and shims together but when you put them back together they might not be set right anymore (wear/movement?) and you need a machine to test.

Not sure what kind of injector he means, but taking them apart for cleaning is unusual. :confused:

I only know old stuff but on an old tractor a gallon of petrol in the fuel gives them a good clean out! :D

Check for clean shut off of fuel after the spray finishes, no drips.
 
I'm gonna see if the nozzles are worn whilst I'm there and replace them if they are.

It's all about learning something new. Sure I could just buy new injectors or send them off the a specialist. But for the same money I've bought the kit to do it myself. So other vehicles we own will be much cheaper to sort and besides, it's fun to learn

No problem. Happy yo do that. You can sort the wipers on my 110 that are wrecking me. Your the electrical whizz

If they have done a lot of miles at least one of the tips will have blown, and have a look at the pintle valves and their springs. The parts for these are very cheap, its the reassembly, and keeping everything clean enough is difficult.
 
ill be doing it in the kitchen (when mrs vil is out!) in some plastic tubs etc to keep everything clean :)

well i tried the cleaner tonight on some old coins i had kicking about. Works great! it was fascinating to see dirt and crud come off them as you watched.

*when he was having a paddy i sent him out to pick up dog poo in the yard and the wind blew the bag off his hand, he was in such a bad mood he didnt realise and picked up the poo with his bare hands!!!* :hysterically_laughi i about collapsed a lung! which didnt help his bad mood at the time....
 
not yet, been too busy with my new 110 :eek:

Also found that compression is low on my csw's 200tdi which is probably causing my issues but still have the ssangyong to do. It does clean coins well!

i mean to get my zx9 carbs in it as for the past several years they have been a bit gunked up and ive been too lazy to strip them. And the tractors carb would benefit im sure.

Will try and whip an injector out in the next week or so on the 200tdi. Itll be interesting to do :)
 
you are meant to fix one and THEN buy another.. see where you have been going wrong?
