Hi,

As you will all see im a newbie here, but am a regular forum member on lots of car related sites..

Just a quick question to the guys "In the know"..:)

My friend has 2 Range rover classics..One he bought for spares and one was his daily vehicle..

In its day he spent loads and loads on the car, including the Mazda 3.5TD conversion. The car has full stainless exhaust and has had less than 40k use since the conversion.Apparently it was £6000 to do.

Anyway,my friend has now decided to try and sell the 2 RR's,the Mazda engined one starts and drives fine, and is full of nice parts. The other one has leather and loads of good panels, glass etc etc..

My question is fella's,what would he expect to get for these 2 now?? Over the years these 2 have cost a small fortune..

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

TIA

Gary

Not a lot to be honest, depending on the state of the bodywork, rust, damage etc. The Mazda engine isn't worth any extra, to me its a detraction. You could get £500-£750 for spares or repairs, and £1000 on up for one in good nick.

hi the mazda 3.5 sldt is a good conversion if done properly , i did it a few years ago with my 93 vogue se and it performed brilliant , the car was in mint condition with everything working i.e cruise control , air con , rev counter the lot as it should be , i sold it about 3 yrs ago on ebay and a guy in holland came for it , paid me the £3,500.00 asking price without quibble and drove it back he was over the moon with the car , and i still miss it yet  .

Thanks for the replies...

I am suprised to hear that some look at the conversion as a detraction to the vehicle.. Having looked more into it,the Mazda 3.5 TD auto conversion seemed to be the best conversion for the Range rover of this period..

Anyway...I think he is going to do some cleaning up on them, and they will be entered on Ebay..

Fingers crossed he will get a good price :)..

Any more thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks
