Can anyone retrace for me a "Hard Reboot" a radio specialist did for my locked Clarion security code after fuse replacement rendered it inaccessible?

Screen showed -------.

Tech put ignition on Auxiliary for around 10 minutes, then manipulated radio buttons in some sequence -- which I couldn't observe -- and, voila!, fixed.

I'd love to be able to duplicate this myself. What sequence did he use?

Thanks.

Press an hold the band button and should clear, if not leave it on for an hour, watch you battery though!

You can not enter a code until the dashes clear and "code in" is in the display. Upon service of the head unit, codes are cleared so no code needs to be entered.

Mine has been serviced and does indeed say on boot up "NO CODE". However there is a procedure to initiate the code if required. Can't remember what it is, but have it stored on Email somewhere.

If you have a Clarion headset that has been serviced and says "NO CODE" when switched on, but you want to code it. Press tune UP as you switch on. Enter a code. Press tune UP again. Keep note of code. Radio is coded again.
