The Disco has come up quite well with just a good was - 90% of the 'scratches' washed off. I'm going to leave the polishing for now - too much other stuff to do first.

Anyway, thought I'd go and bang some of that dust we were driving through, out of the air filter.

2 things I notice;

1) I've found the rest of the mud - the engine is covered. I guess the fan went in the muddy water. Must have been when I briefly parked so that 90boy could play with his tow rope. What's the best way to clean the engine? Can I just go at it with the hose pipe like I did the underneath???

2) I was a little worried by the amount of mud under the air filter. It was all before the filter, but it means quite a lot splashed in the air intake!!!! How much were those snorkels?

well i had a crawl under mine today to grease the props and UJs you disco boys going on about mud mine is still clean:D:p

A 90? never probs with my finances... had a message this avvy off that disco askin if i still wanted it cos he missed me offer before it ended... still waiting for him to get back to me :(

Absoltely,just hope he gets back to me it looked good for the money... av to tek the bars and rear step off tho

you will injoy it more not worrying about it

I found it a lot less stressful on the second day when the Disco was already scratched

you will need a snorkle

My wife told a friend today that I was 'saving up for a snorkel'....I wonder if that's the first sign of accepting the inevitable :D

Though I think I might just make one out of a bit of pipe - I don't know wat all the fuss/expense is about -it's just a bit of pipe!!

looks like you and nath can do the realy deep stuff next time we go out then
i aint got a snorkel :(
trying to get train times b'ham to spalding, 2 trains and a 90 min wait for the 2nd one feck that i'll be just as quick thumbin it
