You get what you pay for?

Or

You pay for the name?

Is there a good (effectiuve off road) chunky tyre that comes in at a budget price or is it really down to money?

Lot of guys on here use Insa turbos, I've had them on my landy for 18 months and they're great off road with not too much on road noise and defo worth the money. I paid £215 for 4 off ebay but they seem to have gone up in price a bit in the last year.

these are the ones I have but if you want a bit more extreme off road the special tracks are ment to be excellent mud tyres.

i use insa turbo dakar on the disco for 2 years now everyday and still have 11mm tread and special tracks on me 90 both very good tyres on and off road

all depends on what ya want.ATs or MTs, on road with a bit of off, all off road etc etc.

My BFG muds are over 5 Years old and are still goin strong, used everyday both on and off road.

so when it comes to getting a new set, i'll be spending my money with BF cos it will be cheaper in the long run :p

I could have gone with ATs as I use them on road 90% of the time but I prefer having the MT when off road as it really makes a difference..

unless it snows...ATs are much better with snow and ice imo

I had a mate that got 65k miles out of a set of BFG M/T tyres on his 110 Td so as far as BFG tyres go you do get what you pay for.

I run Insa Turbo Special Track and off road they are awesome and not bad on road, but be careful because they grip so well they can snap half shafts quite easily if you get too aggressive with the throttle off road.

I've got a set of bfg muds that have done well over 50k and still have about 10mm tread. Not as good as they used to be in mud but still great on the road.
