I used to have some on one of my vehicles. I punched a screw through the end, screwed the screw in a bit more, and then pulled them off with a pair of molegrips. after that the bloody things went in the bin.
On a disco the only one that you need to remove is the one over the locking wheel nut. This has a dimple in the end so that you can see which one needs removing. The rest stay on. But if ya wanna remove em a pair of pump pliers will do the job..
