Hi guys

My son and I both use the fender but my son is 6' tall and has difficulty in adjusting the seat and back rest to suit him self in the driving seat so as I am off tomorrow I am going to measure up and cut the very top of the rear bulkhead out where the back rest touches the bulkhead.

has anyone else done this to their's :)

I've got the seat riser bars in mine, they do make a difference, 5 minutes instead of hours taking the bulkhead out if you only need a bit more room

Yeah, the top strip is a folded, (galv'd?) steel affair and is very rigid. With that chopped, the remaining ally panel is very weak. You need something if you're chopping the capping. Personally I'd recommend the original LR bulkhead removal bar.

Right I have cut the top rail just where the drivers back rest is my son has tried it out and is happy with the way the seat / back rest is now I have cut it back so plan is to bolt a piece of flat bar right across from one side to the other to give it back its strength but allows the seat / back rest to adjust that little bit more :)

Yeah I no what you mean but can't really afford a bulkhead removal bar and didn't know about the seat risers but having said that its not like I have cut a wacking big hole out of it as the way I have done it is I cut part of the capping out where the back rest stops against the bulkhead then the inner skin under the capping I cut the very top off but leaving the back part as it was but with the capping removed so reckon a piece of flat bar bolted across the back of the bulkhead should sort it :)

slight OT, but what do they do in the CSWs n utilities? cos I cant see a great deal of difference, n theres no bulkhead on them...
