Hiya Guys...
I have just upgraded my Discovery to a 2004 model Landmark.
I am very pleased with it although one feature/fault puzzles me.
When I start the vehicle a chime sounds 3 times.
This only happens when I start the vehicle after all the dashboard lights have extinguished.
If I start the vehicle immediately I do not get the chimes.
I have no warning lights displayed when the engine is running and no sign of a fault.
The car runs perfectly and the air suspension works as it should.
Any idea why I get the audible chime?
Best wishes,
Wayne.

I am sure I read something about this feature in the handbook or on the workshop manual (seatbelt reminder?). IIRC it can either be switched on or off but it needs to be done by plugging into Testbook. There is also a facility to turn on auto door locking when the car gets to something like 5mph.

mine exactly the same, it`s a system check on the ABS, it`s described in the handbook , if the abs light goes of all is fine. Put your foot on the brake pedal on starting and the alarm never sounds ( on mine anyhow ).

Only time mine does it when the engine running is when the suspension drops if you've had it in extended mode (once you hit ~18MPH), or if you try to put it in HDC mode when the car isn't in Low Range.
