I've seen on here people talking about chemicals that will kill off rust, can someone suggest a good one?

I have a newly acquired 110 that has rust right through the top of the bulkhead, I don't really have the experience to change the bulkhead, would much rather do a repair of some type....

What do ya think?

If its rusted through then a repair will entail cutting and welding on new repair panels (available from YRM and the like). A bit more difficult than just changing the bulkhead if you don't have the experience. If its not too bad then treating it might be worthwhile

Surface rust or right through? You'll need to take the windscreen off, get rid of the old scabby seal as you'll be replacing that, and get as much rust and crap off as you can so you can see how bad it is

Right through in places!

Just been talking to YRM and they will supply a whole patch that blanks off the vents..... Think that sounds like a great plan!

You can't treat the rust as its beyond your capabilities but you can weld in new panels?

You do realise that the panels from YRM don't just go on top of rust lol you need to cut out the rusted portion and weld in the replacement sections

I do realise - I can do the cutting out of the rusty bits, gonna need to enlist some help for the welding bit!

Are the panels generally a good fit?
