to be honest he didnt have a scooby doo what he was talking about. i managed to convince him that nothing was 1965. and told him where to check for numbers. there going back tommorow. also he said the couple who own it dont look like ur average landrover theif or people who ring landrovers

I find it difficult to believe that a police officer would make such a simple mistake in identifying a stolen vehicle!!

Yeah right of course I am?? Most plod wouldn't be able to identify their own fathers let alone a fooking landrover??

You need to send him three pics....one of a 1965 series, one of a defender and one of that car with the differences circled.....granted you could just circle the whole car.

****in plod useless slags.Saw herts finest ignore a rangey towing a boat in the outside lane at 80 the other day, considered driving past at 90 and if he had pulled me, sed "its ok for him to 20 over the limit then why not me?"

Ha ha, well that's alright then. Just because they've got honest faces they are able to sell on a dodgy LR which is unlikely to be covered by any insurance policy taken out against it, on which a **** load of road fund license is probably owed and may (or may not) be someones stolen pride and joy.

Bless their little kevlar socks. :D
