Hi,

So following another thread on here ref Td5 starting problems.

I have come across this issue.

In the D2 3003 manual is states the Orange check engine light should do the following.

Strange thing is, on mine the check engine light self extinguishes after a few seconds of the ignition being turned on.

So in the context of the original thread about bad starting : during a fuel purge. Ignition on the light goes off after a few seconds, pump the throttle 5 times and the light will flash.

So , a quick question to the other D2 TD5 owners out there what does yours do?

Cheers

Well,

Typical Landrover.....................found this in the Engine mgt rave file.

Yup mine does the same as yours! They all light up and go off, last ones to go out are SRS then seatbelt lights, then battery light.
I have a red light that only comes when the handbrake is on, is it faulty? ;)

I noticed this thread and thought, what could neilly possibly need help with?! Then you answered your own problem :D

Thanks @RyanDay1 ,

I was thinking a few cross words when I checked it earlier....:eek:

Have to love that LR can give different / wrong info in the handbook.

Cheers

Maybe you just missed to mention it but if it's really not there better check it cos the battery light should be the same as the oil pressure warning near it and they both are supposed to go out only when the engine running

Yeah haha I didn't mention that it was when started, just didn't bother writing it!
