anyone know the cheapest place for inlet / exhaust valves for a 2.0 L-series...

just snapped my cambelt and not looking forward to the repair bill.... landrover want 24 quid for inlets, and 33 for exhausts EACH!!! the robbing bastards!

Sounds about right to me. Then the've got to be fitted and ground in. Then the head's got to be skimmed. Taking apart, rebuilding. Ouch....

Mind you, have all the values been twonked?? May not need too many. Hope the piston heads are okay....

not sure as to the damage yet, gonna take the cam out later and see what valves still move if any.... wish me luck

If you have bent valves, check also that the guides are not cracked.

will do andy, already thought that as made that mistake with an old e30 (bmw) i had....

if ive buggered the valves ill take the head off then check for the likely piston damage, i found a breakers in gloucester with a few engines on the shelf for 400 quid so may grab one then strip my engine for any salvagable parts as if i take the head off and start replacing too many bits the bill will tally up to close to the 400 anyway!
