charge £25 per wheel
I had a similar experience with my 4 Nexen Rodian's £25 to fit ea. so a total bill of £100 per corner. They offered me YOKOHAMA's on the last Rangie @ £163 ea. Inc. fitting.I used to use BlackCircles and had good service and keen prices. I would get them delivered to home then get them fitted locally. Did the same 6 months ago, savings on tyres were less, got them delivered to home then found all the local tyre places have closed ranks to charge £25 per wheel to fit and balance which killed any saving I'd made.
Sounds like the problem lies with the local fitter, they might have even the same if you’d bought direct from them.We used Black Circles a while ago.... they sent the tyres to a local agent .... I took them wheels to fit the tyres on to, but they were adamant they needed my car keys to fit the tyres .... they got stroppy and, IIRC, refused to fit them whilst I waited - so I had to go back later that day to collect the wheels.
I won't use them again.
We've used BigTyres since - no problems ( www.bigtyres.co.uk ) ( no affiliation etc. ....)

I think in our area the tyre places have got together and decided to push the price of fitting up to cut off any savings from on-line sales.
You can normally specify a fully fitted price, or a delivered price, at the time of ordering.I don't really understand this, when I've bought tyres on-line the price has been 'all in' All I've had to do is specify my choice of a local fitment centre from a list & chose a date/time.
Is there something I'm missing here
