Just on the inside of the N/S/R body mount I have a 50cm2 hole I intend to replace the whole x member so 2 questions then by removing the rear bumper can I get a cutter in, and does anyone have the part number, I see on Rimmers and LRS a x member N0 ANR 3432 is this it as it looks to short or is it just the photo.

Well done Guys, Now what's it like to fit, One day One weekend, floor up or canit be done from underneath, I am going to get it up in the air this week to have a better look but advice on what I am looking at time and equipment wise would be good,

unless you cut it and reweld it back up you need to remove rear quarter panels which are screwed on (side panel and rear corner panel are spot welded together and come off as one) apart from that just a matter of cutting old one out and weld back in as in rotten rotting rotten stuff thread in general lr chat section

I have just removed all the floor covering from the boot space and whilst the floor is not to bad there are rusty areas, treatable, but to be honest the time it would take to do a half way decent job I would be quicker replacing the floor pan, being self employed time is a factor weighed in time not working against time worked against the labour costs in a garage, any way, to the point, from a MOT point can I bolt the panel in, I am thinking of future access.

you have to weld the boot floor

also, if you only have a small rust hole.. just patch it, dont replace the rear x-member if you struggle for time. its a pain to do and takes ages... i was going to replace mine on my ex-disco, then I realised the work involved and just patched it.

I think someone here replaced one not long ago and put some pictures up, have you done a search yet?

Hi yes done a lot of searches here and else where, it is still as yet undecided MOT not till March next year so time yet.
