A friend of mine has found a small section of the chassis has rusted away under the drivers door almost directly under the hinges.

There is a bit of the chassis that comes over to the side, and has a large hole in it, (this is ment to be there this one), but that hole has rusted and become bigger. What would be the procedure for sorting this out, and indeed any other chassis damage like this.

Clean it up, and weld a piece of plate over the lot? All ideas and information would be great.

All the bits you have mentioned are replaceable parts.

The front outrigger gan be easily bought and welded on.

As for the other a little bit fidely, but none the less easy to get hold of and weld.

To buy the parts, your probably looking at £70 from paddocks.

Then just sometime welding.
