I have started to bolt everything onto my new chassis, engine gearbox, bulkhead and wings. I have laid the rear tub in place and swung the doors to check everything is in line, its not! I have an 18mm gap between the rear tub and the seat belt transfer bracket on the chassis and i cant get the doors to come close to closing.
Anyone had any issues like this? I was under the impression that RC were the best out there?

At a guess, you havent got the bulkhead aligned properly, in which case none of the other body bits will fit properly.

Can you post pics of the various body parts, and their attachment to the chassis, especially where the bulkhead bottom irons attach?
 
you attach rear tub and bulkhead and adjust bulk head to get doors to fit , roof and windows want fitting before front end too in case you need to adjust more, theres very little movement to had in the rear tub
 
I would bolt in the rear tub first and then adjust everything from there. You need to leave bulkhead bolts loose and get the door gaps right before fitting anything up front.
Rear tub, bulkhead and then roof to lock it all into place then start fitting everything else.

What you say makes sense, but its the gap between the chassis and the tub where the seat belt brackets attach that is throwing me, I am sure that at that location it was a tight fit.
 
Post a pic, much easier.
Have you got the tub behind the rear brackets and not over the top of them.
 
there is a little movement in the rear tabs by bending them ,it might be that you need to make ally shims to close a few gaps between brackets and washers on bulkhead mounts,fitting a body from panels is matter of juggling each part and best compromise,judicial use of jacks rachet straps and tapered bars allways helps
 
It’s usual to need to shim those brackets a little, though usually only up to 10mm or so.

You wouldn’t be the first person with a new chassis that has a bracket in the wrong place.

I'll say. Nearside, tubular outrigger on my Richards 90 chassis was about 12mm out :(
 
I have exactly the same issue, 18 to 20 mm gap between front face of outrigger and tub mount. Got every thing lined up, just trial and error. All panel gaps right now. I got rear body flush (or thereabouts) with rear x member then loosely fitted bulkhead and worked to a gap of 885 mm (if i recall correctly) for front doors. I just hope i can get some rock sliders with enough adjustment to fit. Good luck with it.:)

Its real pain for a first timer, i thought the chassis would be more accurate. all the UTube stuff I have watched seemed real easy, have these guys been paid?
