Does anyone know if the chassis (series 3 SWB) spring hanger holes are supposed to be off centre? Mine have become oversized and oval, so I was going to cut off the 'discs' welded either side of the hanger and weld on new ones with newly drilled holes. Problem is of the 4 hangers, 3 of them have off centre holes, the 4th has holes that are centred (within the disc)

Thanks! I'll spin some new discs off on the lathe tomorrow.

Or you could ream them, 32mm. I did that for mine.

Try a length of rod through all 4 dumb ,iron might be twisted or out of alignment after renewal.
PO bodge might have been to move centres.
