Hi all
I haved owned a 1983 110 for the last 2 years. It is fitted with a 300tdi engine, been re sprayed new wheels and tyres and the interior has been upgraded. Heres my problem, having spent a few quid on the car its now an MOT failure due to excessive un weldable chassis rot.Can anyone please advise.
How tough is it swap a chssis?(my mechanical skills are limited but im up for a laugh).
Can anyone recommend a company who offers this service?
Anyone know a cheap chassis supplier?

Any help and advice would be appreciated .Many thanks.

The main sections running parralel front to back seem to be in good order. All the outrigers, rear spring hangers, rear crossmember some body and suspension brackets are rotten. Many thanks

there are 2 main companies offering replacement chassis.
galvanised 110 chassis is about 1200 quid supply only.

no idea what a company would charge to do the job now.
its a diy job if you have half decent diy skill. best with 2 men and take a week or so.
or maybe say a month of weekends?

or 5 men in one weekend?:)

MOT man really doesnt look that close, the plate on the brake servo will do, and thats going to be the same.

If you do replace the chassis, check the bulkhead out if its rotten, or looking like it could soon head that way, for £150 more, stick a new bulkhead in. It will go on for ever!
