... sorry this has prob been asked many times, I need a real quick answer tho pls... where's the chasis number located on a P38?

On the plate rivetted to the slam panel at the front (Part where the bonnet catches locate) Should also be visible at the bottom l.h. side of the windscreen

When I say bottom of windscreen, it's visible through the screen looking in from outside.

I don't think the chassis number is rivetted to the slam panel?? Isn't it just a sticker and the 'stamped' VIN is somewhere behind a wheel arch lining on a frame rail??

Not on mine and every P38 I've looked at. The VIN is good enough for me. I've never had cause to look for a Chassis no. or been asked for one
