i have bought a single din dvd player for my 1997 RR autobiography.
this lovely motor has a harmon kardon stereo which i need to replace.
i've managed to find an adapter which connects directly to the current wiring without me needing to cut anything.
now for nasty part, i've connected the mains and earth and it all lights up and works but theres no sound from the speakers.
no matter which speaker wire i connect to theres no sound, can anyone please help!!!!

When I changed my head unit ('96 4.6 HSE) I had to connect the two wires from the amps to a live feed (just used the one for the unit) before I got sound
Does your wiring in the dash have an eight and a six pin plug ?

hi, well one plug is pink and the other grey, so i assume, with the pink plug being the biggest its an eight and then grey is six.
nevr been this confused over car wiring before, so any help is appreciated!!

Same as mine then - give me a minute and I'll go and find the wiring diagram I scribbled down when I changed my stereo
