Hi, i have searched the site but unable to find the answer to the question that i have, we are taking out the original Freelander radio, although we are stuggling to find the point to remove the wiring loom, it seems that there is no connector box, apart from the small part in the picture with some tape around, we bought a new standard freelander connector to change to a CD player, any thoughts or help would be much appriciated, thanks.

sorry the first picture is very bad near the bottom right corner you can just make out some black tape around a small like box, although the connector looks alot bigger and i cannot for the life of me figure it out!

I dont have a cd changer, not that i am aware of, only had the car a week or so, taking out the original cassette player and replacing with a new cd player

its in the first photo there is a tiny connector box with some black tape around, you can just about see it in the picture..

Someone has took out the original connector for some reason and wired into that, you may have to cut the plug off yours and wire to their connector!

Have a good check in there for any other blocks first though.

If your not confident doing this get an autoelectrician or someone off here thats local in Brisel to wire it.

The only box is the one with the tape around, the wires then go down under into the main wireing loom, i am happy to do this and i thought straight away someone have had a play with it before! i guess they decided to take the original out for some reason?

They probably took out the original to fit an aftermarket then before selling the car put the original back in.

Could've happened :)

check under front nearside seat thats where the cd play will be if you have one

Went out and checked, and would you beleive it there is one under the seat, it was filled with cd's but when i put the radio on cd player you can hear it make a noise trying to play but then comes up with no cds (6 in their!) does anyone know what this could be?

Hi I note that you have that same problem as myself, just tried to put back R770 original radio to find that one block has been taped. now not sure as to what or how many blocks fit into the connections. I have two and a side block the large one is missing.
