Easy to get out if you know how.;)

Drill through the rubber bush with a hole-cutter, cut through the outer sleeve with a hacksaw and then just punch it out (more than one cut may be required if really siezed into place). Shouldn't take more than about 15-minutes each bush and that includes the really bad ones.:D

Sounds like a great way to get em out, am planning to do all mine soon and know they'll be a bitch to remove as I think most have been on there since new. Ta Litch

Blowtorch and burn out the rubber and then cut the remaining metal sleeve and punch out. I then asked my local engineer to borrow his press to replace standard gen new bushes. Paid £10 for his advise.

Luuuuvvvvvv the smell of burning rubber (not)!
Burning them out takes time and is smelly, cutting them out takes no time at all and does not polute the asmosphere.

Fitting OE bushes is a DIY job, of course a press makes it easier but if there isn't one in your vicinity then they can be fitted using tools found in the average garage. Not having a workshop close to hand I have replaced my OE bushes like this in the past and it was actually quite easy, I easily did the whole vehicle in a single day from start to finish.
Last year I made the mistake of fitting Bearmach polyurethane bushes, not only do I not like the ride but the large ones were a real pig to fit as they wanted to deform when pressed into place. I will probably live with them this year and if I still don't get used to them I will take them out and fit OE again, I don't know how long the Bearmach ones will last but I know from experience that OE last 7-8 years.

Poly every time for me. Every motor I've owned has had then fitted and I've not worn any out yet. My Defender is coming up to 3 years and they still look and feel like new.
