Need someone more technically minded, but if you put a matched axle pair of tyres on say the rears, which are a different diameter to the fronts, what happens when you lock the central diff? Will anything break ?

If the rolling radius is different back and front you risk damaging the centre diff.

However the difference in rr between 235 and 225 is small and so long as you only use difflock on soft surfaces you should be relatively OK.

It's not ideal though.....................................

Yer you shouldnt really run different sized tyres back and front on a 4x4, likewise ideally you should always replace all 4 tyres at the same time as new tyres will have a bigger RR than a used set especially if MTs.
