Hi Tim,
how's things?

Most people just move the caliper aside and tie it off with a piece of
wire so that it is out of the way, but supported by the wire and not
the brake lines.

Yup ... ;) Obviously, be careful and don't let the brake lines take the
weight or develop too tight a kink .. ;)
