think its a case of start at the very back, screw inside ashtray for rear, then work your way forward
not many wires under the console they run down the rh inner sill, only the hdc, rear ash tray light and handbrake light wires go under the console, but if you still want to remove, rear part of console has to be removed or moved back first, radio has to be removed as there are x2 screws at the top, x4 holding the heater control pannel in, x2 on the sides, and x1 in the centre of the coin tray on older models, the console has to be pulled towards the back as there are two locators on the end part that go into the facia, hope this helps,
