Mines a v6 so the alternator is higher up than the other Freelander engines, I understand. Also the air con compressor is low down, so you could stuff the bearings on that like I did. Mine were on their way out anyway.
Putting all that to one side, you could complete the same course in a standard Freelander and go round the water at the end. Probably a better idea, as the site is made of clay and sand, which plays havoc with oil seals and bearings.
