Hi I have just had a new starter motor fitted to my freelancer. 2 and since then the central locking has gone haywire one press on the fob used to open drivers door and release tailgate now one press opens drivers door and opens tailgate also to close windows I have to hold the button until it is closed any ideas please

Your description of the door locking makes no sense, as the before and after is the same.
The windows need calibration after the battery has been disconnected. The process to calibrate them is in the owners handbook.

What I meant was that pressing the unlock now unlocks the drivers door and throws open the tailgate

Ah got you. Sounds like the boot switch is stuck with the switch contact passing power (contacts closed). If this happens as the boot is being opened, then the CJB times out the switch input, but when the unlock button is used, the timeout hasn't begun, so the tail door will release at the same time.

If you operate the boot switch under the handle, can you hear the microswitch click? If not then it's very likely the switch is stuck and a replacement will be needed.

The windows just need resetting.

Nodge68 you were spot on all fixed now I actually did it myself following your advice so again thank you
