We have e 2012 Freelander 2 where after locking the car with the key fob you can still open the front doors and the alarm goes off. Any suggestions or ideas appreciate

Does it lock the rest of the doors ?
Has this just started happening ? or has it always done it ?

More info is helpful ........

Yes it locks the rest of the doors and boot just not the 2 front doors. It appears to have started after it came back from a body shop repair on the rear bumper and light cluster

Have you tried pressing the lock button twice to see if it will lock the fronts then ?
Do the front doors lock on the internal button inside the car ?

Yes I have tried pressing the lock button twice but still does not lock. The car will lock if I manually press the button by the handle and then have to lock the car manually with the key from the passenger side. I also tried locking the car with the lock button on the centre console but the door still opened when I tried through the window. I have also changed the key battery as well. Thanks for your replies

But both front doors lock from the external passenger side door lock ?
or are you locking the drivers door manually first

If both doors lock from the passenger door that means that electrically both lock mechanisms are working.
If so sounds like a setup problem in the ecu

Disconnect the battery for an hour, leave the bonnet on it's latch, then see if it works after a battery reset.
