my first rr ever
98 r p38 4.0 has gone a full 2 weeks without breaking until today.
c/l not working from the fob or the key, checked the fuses and it aint them. thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Probably the microswitch in the door locking mechanism

Quite possibly. More likely the actual linkage mechanism. Does c/l work if sat inside from driver or front passenger door sill lock?

If none of the doors work it is more likely to be the amplifier which is behind the rear 1/4 near the locking flap. Try getting very close to the panel.

hi rob,landy said c/l wasnt working with the key,does the door key power the r/f reciever to operate the c/l?

No. The fault is most probably the door lock assembly or broken wires between the door and the A post.
