Hi Shaun :welcome2:

First off...is it a Classic, P38, L320 or L322??

Second - What Year...

Thrid - Diesel or Petrol....

Finally - Where abouts you located, there maybe some one close to you who can offer assistance for the princely sum of Tea and posh biscuits....

Sounds like both motors are burnt out, this is common and mainly due to the rf reciver keeping the becm awake and trying to keep the front doors locked as it thinks the cars being stolen!! Worth taking the door cards off and giving them a wack to see if they are just stuck! Ah the joys of P38 electrics!!

Apologies for hijacking this thread but the central locking on my 2000 4.0 Petrol P38 seems to have developed a mind of its own. Works fine with the key to lock and unlock but when driving along will often lock and unlock on its own accord. At first I thought it might just be me leaning on the pop up lock but it isn't.

Any clues?

This locking unlocking thing will almost certainly be a duff door lock or two. Was on mine. Once you track down and replace the duff one it's fixed.

i had the same problem with mine did all the checks and turned out when i took the lock apart , front passanger side , it was the little white thing attached to the motor had come apart , brought new locks and worked again , all was happy . now have a problem with the drivers side , does any one know if the front and rear lock motors (motor only ) are the same ?

I had this lock and unlock intermittently and after removing the door card and unclipping the wire feed to the door latch from the door panel it went mad, locking unlocking when ever i moved the connector, this was a bad connection and the bumping as i drove along caused this same thing to happen, i cleaned the connector and checked continuity from the plug/socket in both directions to be sure, never done this since i did the fix. :) go on give it a wiggle :D
