Help,my central locking will not close on the drivers door and also cannot lock it with the key.when using the fob all other doors lock but not the drivers door,ANY IDEAS :confused::confused::confused:.Its a 99 freelander 1.8 petrol.

i would say its the actuator not had a gaylander door apart but its the same thing that happened on my mondeo and that was the actuator, they get water in and it kills them

as i say i haven't done one of a freelander but a quick ebay search revealed its part of the door lock, so you will need to strip off the doorcard, and remove the doorlock assy,

replaced this on mine this weekend, as it wouldn't open from the key fob on the driver's door. It's a bloody filddly job - luckily I was repairing the window regulator at the same time, so had a bit more room to work; if I was doing it again, I'd still take the regulator out as even then it's fiddly.

oh, and make sure you have some torx bits.
