Hi people,

I have had nearly three weeks of trouble free motoring from my P38, until this morning. Knew it was too good to be true!!

Anyway my central locking is playing up, if i push the "lock" button on the fob it locks but the indicators do not flash, if i then press it again it double locks as it should and the full closure (windows and Sunroof) works fine but still no indicators. The red alarm light on the dash flases rapidly just after closeing and then flashes as it does normally after a few seconds, can't remember if this is normal??

Oh and the indicators and hazard lights work fine using the indicator stalks and hazard light button..

Any thoughts ideas?

you can set all thats stuff in the becm i believe but if that is the only problem you have i would count my lucky stars!!!

Has your battery gone flat at all recently??

You need a diagnostic computer to change/adjust settings in the BeCM. If you have a look at this following screen from a Rovacom style system you can see the different options available (ignore the red box, this was for something else)...

The most probable thing is that the alarm has become disabled. When I had a dodgy door latch and the alarm kept going off I disabled the alarm until I got a new door latch. When the alarm was disabled the indicators did not flash when locking, this sounds like what you have.

Have a check if you have your own diagnostic kit or find a specialist who has a Rovacom/Faultmate/Autologic system and see if the option is disabled or enabled.
