How difficult could it be to remove the center console? Difficult it seems. I have undone all the screw ets but couldnt manage to get it over the hand brake?

Any ideas.....

Missed any fasteners at the front? Behind the bit that turns upwards towards the dash? Any in cubby box?

2 screws in cubby box, 2 screws at front end, 1 screw next to handbrake.
You need to undo the handbrake cable from the handbrake lever in order to get the handbrake up vertical and the lift out consol.
Be careful nut to let the ratchet pawl spin thro 180 degrees when you pull the lever up.
