i wanted to change my CD player in my freelander 2 from a single to a 6 disc but when I fitted the 6 disc unit could not get the player to work.does it need programming or do I need the front control unit too?

You need to change the the config on the car to say it’s got a 6 disc changer fitted

I thought all FL2 had 6 CD changer already fitted under the front driver seat ?

So did I. And with @150 MP3 tracks on each you can have @900 songs to listen to without getting bored.

6cd changer was located behind the radio faceplate on FL2

Under the seat is just the sat nav disc drive
