Any suggestions to where's a tidy place to mount a CB unit in an '04 Freelander? I already have a double din CD/DVD player so a din mount is not an option. Any pics?

if only they made cb's like most of the new ham radio's they have a detachable head unit so you can leave the base in the boot and thred the head unit wire through to the dash at the moment Singvogel you can have 80 channels but as i said by the end of next year good old UK will be in line with europe

Thanks for that Teddy.

Should I buy a cheapy 2nd hand set now and wait till next year to get the new spec?

Or should I buy a set in Germany or France on my next trip?

Any other options as I'm pretty sure that my present set is not economic to repair.

well you learn something every day it is about time we have had them for years and i use a phone holder stuck to the windscreen and the mounting part of the yaesu 8900 stuck onto it i will have to take a picture and learn how to post

don't know if anyone else has done this for mounting her, but i took the map reading light unit and fitted it up there, fits nicely, out of the way, and doesn't block the mirror. plus, less visible to any gypos looking into the car!
