Got CB installed, aerial up and connected, but stalled at the power connection. I've run the cable into the area of the fusebox by the drivers knee, where, according to the Haynes wiring diagram, I should have been able to find a couple of Green/White wires in the loom - one for the cigar lighter, which was to be my main target. Can't find a single one in the loom - mines a V8 and the Haynes says it's for the TD5, so I'm guessing some subtle changes in the loom, but the question is - can anyone recommend a good target in that area? Don't really want permanent, really after post ignition, so's I don't batten the flattery!

When I did mine, didn,t fancy battling throu bulkhead so soldered on plug for the power socket in the boot area. Worked fine.

Thanks - I was hoping not to have to cable that far tbh and hoping not to have to pull the console apart to find the wire to the console lighter socket..

Add-A-Circuit Standard Piggy Back Blade Fuse Holder: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

You need one of these. Remove an ignition live fuse, plug this in then replace the fuse and use the cable for your live take off.
