Hi all, does my 1991 200tdi 90 defender have a catalyst? I know it has a stainless steel Janspeed exhaust from front to back, but was wondering if they came with them as standard?

Ah'd say probably not. But if ye really wanted tae know for sure, go have a look under yer motor

And where abouts would it be in relation to the exhaust system?

snuggled up on top of one of the boxes keeping warm, make sure you wake it up before you set off or it'll dehydrate or fall off and get gravel rash...

reminds me of a tale a local indi machanic told me
had a regular lady landy driving customer come in , said she thought something was not right the engine when she started it up was very lumpy on tick over and the steering was very hard .
he opened the bonnet to find half a cat jammed in the bottom pulley/fan belt

on my td5 its just after the down pipe from the manifold
