Does anyone know if it's legal or not in the UK to carry passengers in the back of a Landy that isn't fitted with actual seats?

it would be against current UK law as any car not fitted with seats in specific areas cannot carry passengers in that area. In other words the back of estate cars, vans and the like. Also if you have seats fitted they must have seatbelts now, no exceptions.

PANTS...........& thanks.

Thought that would be the case. Belts too, no exceptions?........ah well, just the dogs then!

Cheers for that Slippy :)

i was under the impression that if your vehicle is pre 1985(seatbelt law year)if seats are already there e.g. the bench seats in my 109 then i do not need to fit belts!!!
or have i got this totally wrong!! advise please
