Don't know about you but, I'm 5'7 and 10 1/2 stone, and don't think I could lift my rm250 up there let alone after a days riding,
Left side folds down for a ramp and a temporary bridge piece fits in the middle to roll it across.
What's its proper name? Guessing its military
The bike's a KLR derived diesel, I think (but am probably wrong) it's a canvas top hummer and the rack I think is homemade but I can't remember who it was that built it.
The MOD did experiment with a similar thing to fit landys for the Armstrong/Harley MT350 using the jacking points in the rear crossmember to mount it, I have some pictures somewhere I'll see if I can find them.
Did someone mention nose weight?

Doesn't look to bad that
Daft question. How do you get the bike onto the rack?I've done thousands of miles carrying trials bikes on the back of my Landrovers/R Rovers and Discoveries over the years.
I now use a Dave Cooper bike rack to carry my TY250 Yamaha to trials,my heavier 350 AJS and 500 Ariel go in a trailer cos I'm usually too knackered to lift them on the rack after a trial...
You just need to be aware of the extra weight hanging off the back, and have a lighting board/ number plate to keep it legal. It also means you can still use the outside lane on motorways which you cant with a trailer on.No reversing problems in narrow country lanes either.

No connection,just a satisfied user.
Does it drop down or do you have man handle the blighter onto it????They say the only daft questions are the ones you don't ask,but in this case....
