Hi

Just wondering what people who use there discovery mainly for off roading have done in the foot Wells? I have only been a few times and my carpets are that dirty and wet I'm gonna have to remove.

My Thought was to just clean the footwell up as then treat with rust paint, then primer then top coat and leave like that as then after each trip can clean out and mop and job done? Anyone done this or gone another route any pics?

Cheers

Mine are long gone. Ripped the lot out and just stuck some rubber mats in for ease of cleaning.

Also have several holes drilled in the floor to allow water out when deep wading. :)

Have to painted tour floors at all?

Yea floors were rust treated and repaired where needed and then primed and painted. Then a rubber mat chucked on top.

Jet washing the inside is now easy. :D

That's great when you say rubber mat, is this a home made one or one of the universal ones u can get?

I've got the original discovery rubber mats in mine. Well the fronts anyway. Rest are stored somewhere.

Also does anyone know if you can use waxoyl inside the truck on the floors?

I have but it is covered.

Look up the local equestrian supplier and get stable matting. Then cut it down to the right shape using old mats as a template. Oh, no carpets!

Been out and got a couple of horse stable mats so gonna cut these and use these in front now and rear, just not sure if I should use hammerite or waxoyl on inside to go under the matt?
