im doing a truck cab this summer,so that is gunna have to be well insulated...doesw the self adeshive stuff mould curves ok as im gunna try fit it round the back as well as the roof of the cab,,,,I just did the same in the back of my 90.
Used 3mm closed cell foam, then carpet, wish i used somthing thicker but it does the trick. More sound insulation and yes it does keep heat in better!
Also using some 10mm inside the doors, a pillars and sides.
Got mine off ebay, self adhesive.

Bob, I used the 4mm stuff from the earlier link; it is very easy to mould.
The shelf material is less easy to manipulate. Check out the pics of the plastic bits in the 2nd row seat area using the stretchy stuff.
I would only put carpet onto insulation to reduce the risk of condensation.

yeah thanks,
the truck cab is gunna be my winter refuge next winter so i want it to be warm and dry,i got a sunroof but i think as its truck cab ill skip it and fit a vent.
i lined out a series cab with carpet and underlay last time round which was ok but it got damp,some insulation and decent bathroom carpet is the way i think,if i had the time to make panels and quilt it i would lol...

im gunna use stable rubber floor mat for the floor.i can allways put a rug in if i want.

For the floors in the front and 2nd row area I use ex-moor matting with loose carpets on top. The rear has some surplus lino from the bathroom although I do have a large piece of rubber matting which I use when camping.
In Summer I intend to insulate and carpet the door cards.

I have recently sound proofed the footwells, under the seats, the gearbox tunnel and in the space between the center bulkhead and the front seats, certainly makes a big difference! However, I was unsure as to weather I should also sound proof the roof. Does that make a big difference? Just asking as it's a pretty large surface and didn't want to go buying sound proofing if it doesn't help. Thanks.
Did mine today and was please. Just an out of sight practice and I'm pleased with the results.
The carpet is about 3/4 inch with the underlay backing. Proper motor stuff but at the right price.
I am gunner follow Blue and insulate with the B&Q foil for the roof and sides in the back.

Looks exellent buddy! Really does make a big difference.
As ive been doing it all so gradually its hard to tell how effective the soundproofing is.
Though one of me mates jumped in the other day (who had been in it many times just when I got it) I was pleased to hear 'Feck how did you get it so much quiter!'
That pleases me and im not even done yet! Still got the doors to do, rear arches/loadspace, closed cell foam under the rubber in the footwells. Should reduce sound massivley!
