Capstan Winches?

Are they any good?
A mate of mine wants one for his series 3.

Anyone had any experience with one?

inherited one with the SIII I have saved - having sailed for years a capstan winch is second nature and easy to master.
For you landlubbers without soul I hope you lose some more digits as it might teach you something. If it doesn't, come to my house and I'll remove the others with the Capstan.
