Ok, so I've just bought some Fabsil to re-proof my tilt. A worthwhile job as it's in pretty good shape with no holes or real wear.
However it is faded to grey and to compound things it looks like someones used a pressure washer in the past to clean it leaving trails of even less colour all over in squiggly patterns.
Are there any options to put any colour back in, or will it have to remain grey?
I "painted" one of my canvases years ago using diluted Nato Green paint, some thinners and vegetable oil. This seemed to work but for months afterwards I had streaks on the bodywork where the veg oil slowly separated from the mixture. The canvas stayed supple and didn't leak or dry and crack as it would have done using just the paint. But the streaking lasted for months. Something I wish to avoid on this vehicle as it's going to be freshly re-sprayed soon.
Regards........
