Like said above split ti with a sharp cold chisel and it will come off no bother
Cheers for the help folks
That damn race looks like its meant to be there, ill get the Heat gun out in the morning anlog with a good bashing with a persuader and see where i get
Ill keep you posted how i get on, hopefully not a new Stub axle
Cheers again
when I'm doing them I cut a diagonal groove with an angle grinder in the races then like you, then split with a chizelIt's cast so quite brittle. Place a sharp cold chisel on the edge and give it a few good whacks. It will usually crack it clean across.
Did you get all the old bits of bearing out. The new ones won't be in properly,
yep inner race is still on you should have a paraellel tube with 1 step for the seal not 2

Is it a 300 ?
Yeah 300, the guy i bought it off has a spare Swivel, king pins and CV but no bearings??
I was expecting to have to a bit of work, going to order the Complete Stub Axle Kit and bearings for the swivel, so the next time i strip it down ill just change the whole lot for new and go get muddy
