recently changed my engine, serviced it bypassed fuel sediments cant see any leaks any where, im getting about 50 miles to 20 quid if that :/ so im using 20quid a day just to go to work which is half my bloomin days wages, it has a straight through exhaust with 1 aftermarket box in the middle, ummm has a few bits and bobs on it but nothing thats causing it to dragg like a roof rack, and its got standard size tyres, any help much appreciated

What is it? Petrol, diesel.... has it ever run right? Why did you change the engine?

Get some veggie oil in it. Thin it down with 10 % petrol. Goes like a bomb !:D

Just worked it out on diesel being roughly £1.40 per litre and your getting about 20 mpg  I get low 2o,s round town but mines auto. Like I said ,put some veggie oil in . You,ll just lurve the smell and might even get a few more mpg :D

More like 15mpg!
20 quid is just under 15 litres, 50miles divided by 15 times 4.55 =15mpg ish.
Thats bloody terrible.

Check your air filter, check your fuel pump timing, check your turbo, all inlet hoses. Either your fueling is off or you are getting low air flow and running really rich

Check the tyres for scrub. I nearly halved my MPG when my alignment and tracking was out. Was munching through front tyres every few weeks too!

i have a simalar problem. but then i have a low geared transfer box and boot it everywhere.
so i am not suprised.

might check air filter though as well, just to be sure

Injector leak off hoses ? Thats a quick way to lose fuel.....or damaged tank ? Top of tank angled connector pipes spilling the return under the rear carpet ?
